WOW Rotherham 2024 Festival

I am delighted to have been invited to join the WOW Rotherham Festival on 11 May 2024 offering mini colour analysis taster sessions.

The WOW Rotherham festival is a vibrant, colourful, bold, fun, and fearless festival celebration of women, girls, trans and non-binary communities. Connecting Rotherham to other women and girls across the globe as part of the WOW – Women of the World family. Their theme this year is around fashion and sustainability and overall body-confidence, so I was delighted to be asked to get involved.

Colour Analysis Taster Sessions with me!

Between 11am and 3pm, I’ll be providing 10 minute Colour Analysis Taster sessions. If you weren’t lucky enough to bag one of the bookable time slots, you’ll need to put your name down when you arrive.

Learn how wearing colour can make you look younger and healthier and gain an insight into my colour analysis consultations to see how impactful it can be when you wear the right colours!

Clothes Swap

After attending your colour analysis taster slot,  you might want to swap some of your clothes!

Simply bring along 10 items to the Rotherham Central Community Hub (Formerly Burtons/Topman) between 11am and 3.30pm to take part. This event is run by Thread Republic.

NEW Spring/Summer 2024 Colour & Trend Seasonal Update Workshop

Sunnier days are coming, so I’m busy behind the scenes with my ‘Seasonal Updates’ to help you get your wardrobe ready for the next season.

I don’t believe in being a slave to fashion as trends do come and go. That said, colours change every season, so it’s the perfect opportunity to switch up your wardrobe. (Especially when you understand what suits you!).

Learning how to adapt these new colours and trends will help you create new outfits so you feel up-to-date rather than ‘fashionable’.

The spring/summer workshop takes place on the first Saturday of April (and October for Autumn/Winter). But, the new colour and trend guides are available from 1 April. Anyone registered on the wait list will receive discounted access to the guides prior to launch each season.

When is the Spring/Summer 24 workshop?

Saturday 6 April.

What time is it?

Starting at 12pm UK time, lasting 90 minutes.

Where is it held?

The workshop takes place online, via zoom. Once registered, you’ll receive a link to join the event online at 12pm.

What’s covered?

This season, I’ve got seven colours to share with you for each of the six dominant colouring types and 12 trends. I’ll share the Pantone colours from London Fashion Week which will be coded by colour types giving you even more colours to choose from!

Along with the trending colours and styles, you’ll also see examples of where you can find them too. You can expect me to raid my wardrobe again as I check these ‘new’ trends and show you how to style what you’ve already got. How many ‘new’ outfits can you make from things you already have lurking in your wardrobe??

Let me inspire you and guide you so that you can make informed choices on what suits you and help you shop with intention.

Do I have to know my colour type/style/shape/been to TLC Style & Colour to join the event?

Not at all! These workshops are open to everyone to find out the latest seasonal colours and styles to try out yourself.

How much are tickets?

£19.50 per person. This includes a link to join the live event and you’ll receive a summary of the colours and trends, a shopping guide, wardrobe checklist and discount voucher after the workshop.

Will it be recorded?

No. This is a live event. A recorded ‘on-demand masterclass’ is available to purchase from 1 April which illustrates the colours and trends covered to watch in your own time. Visit the colour and style update guides here.

NEW 2024 Mini Colour Analysis Taster Workshops

Delighted to have been invited back to Rivers MEET Cafe in Methley to hold more group colour workshops for 2024!

Rivers MEET is a traditional craft cafe run by Jo and her team. They serve delicious home-made food, refreshments and cakes together with regular craft events, WI meetings and sewing classes in the function room downstairs. The lighting is great and this craft room is where the mini colour taster workshops are held.

If you keep putting things on and taking them off again because they don’t look right, this workshop is for you! These ‘taster’ sessions are a great way to experience the magic of what’s involved in colour analysis.

Discover the power of colour and how it can enhance your personal style and confidence.

You’ll be guided through a fun and interactive session, gaining an insight into the impact of colour on your overall appearance. Learn how wearing the colours that flatter your natural features will make you shine. Get tips on wearing your new colours with confidence as you learn your core colour type. A choice of cake and refreshments are included with your ticket and you’ll take away eight colours along with a discount voucher.

You can pre-order a set of 30 fabric colour swatches to take away after the event for your colour type at a discounted price too.

In case you’re not familiar with them, Rivers MEET are a traditional craft cafe run by Jo which serves delicious home-made food, refreshments and cakes.

The workshop takes place in the function room downstairs. It’s also used for craft workshops and regular sewing classes.

On Saturday 23 September, I’ll be returning to introduce a small group of ladies to a colourful new world!

Everyone really can wear colour, but not every shade of colour will suit you the same. I’m sure if you keep putting things on and taking them off again that you’ve found this to be true!

During this workshop, I’ll introduce you and you’ll experience a ‘taster’ of my colour analysis consultations. You’ll learn about the core colouring types I work with using the tonal colour analysis system I use and which you are. I’ll also share a few tips on how to wear your new colours with confidence.

Each person will take away their own colour card handout. This includes eight shades from the core palette so you can begin your new journey into colour straight away!

For those attending, you’ll also have the opportunity to purchase a set of 30 fabric colour swatches for your colouring type at a discounted price.

Wearing colour creates an immediate and powerful impact and when worn well, can really enhance and brighten your overall look. But, it can also have the opposite effect and instead drain the colour from your face, making you look washed out or even worse – ill!

You are encouraged to bring along three tops in different colours, one of which you’ve never or rarely worn.

 

Each person will receive a complimentary makeup lesson in your colour tones and a scarf tying demonstration.

Plus, you’ll have the opportunity to buy your own Colour Swatch Wallet containing your 30 colours which will help to guide you when shopping.

Learn to dress with confidence

Did you know that most women only wear 20% of their clothes 80% of the time?

 

If you want to learn about dressing in clothes which flatter your body and personality, then reserve your place at this small group session held at my studio in Wakefield, West Yorkshire.

 

During the session, we will cover:

 

  • Dressing for your body shape
  • Assessing your proportions
  • Fun style personality quiz!

 

Come along and learn about clothing lines, fabrics and clever dressing tips so you can feel more confident about showing off your best bits and disguising the bits that you’re not so fond of.

You are encouraged to bring along one of your favourite outfits and one that you’re not so fond of so that we can see what does and doesn’t flatter you.

Each person will take away their own personal style cheat sheets and a Style Update handout showing you the key colours and styles for the current season.

These group sessions are limited for between 3 – 6 people.

Seasonal style update – spring/summer 2017

With a new season upon us, many of us have thoughts of shopping for new items but what to get and where do you start?

This year, I’ll be running some small group seasonal update sessions in which I’ll go through the Spring/Summer trends including what’s most  suited to your body shape, personality, colouring and where to find them.

Join me for this 2 hour session which will be informative and fun plus you get the chance (if you want to) to try on some examples from the high street and make-up in comfortable surroundings and I’ll be on hand to help and offer advice.

Existing clients bringing friends with them will benefit from a £5 discount on the normal price – the more friends you bring the more you save!

Places are strictly limited though and must be booked and paid for in advance. If you’d prefer a 1:1 session or to organise your own group session, please get in touch to book.
