Lately, I’ve found myself on the road!

Colour and style consultations continue to take place in the studio in Wakefield, West Yorkshire. People travel locally as well as from further afield. Having trained with Colour me Beautiful over 10 years ago, I’m still the only colour me beautiful consultant in Wakefield!

You’d expect me to travel for wardrobe audits and shopping trips after all – you can’t be expected to bring your entire wardrobe to me!

Over the last few months I’ve found myself travelling more and more. Mainly for group workshops and parties, but there’s also been some speaking and presentations too.

Talks and presentations

Just recently, I was invited back to the MY Breast Cancer Support group for a wellness day.

It’s always a privilege to speak to these ladies, many of whom I’ve had the pleasure of knowing for years now.

Perhaps it’s down to my corporate career and background, but I’ve been able to deliver different talks and formats to different groups.

For this particular group, it was fairly informal and I simply answered a multitude of style, colour, wardrobe and dressing questions that the ladies had. It went well I’m told as the ladies still can’t stop talking about the hints and tips I shared which is always lovely to hear.

You can see here that I was caught mid flow whilst showing the ladies my colour swatch wallet! For anyone who has been recently diagnosed or affected with breast cancer in the mid Yorkshire region, support is available. Wellness days, prehab and rehab and I’d be happy to put anyone in touch with the group organiser.

Another local event; this time I was invited to present to the members at Vino & Stitch WI Methley. A wonderful, engaging and welcoming group who have recently celebrated their 10 year membership with the WI.

My presentation was about colour and I showed the members how to wear colour for best effect.

Another success I’m told as they were amazed at what they learnt in so little time and how to make the most of what they wear.

They’re always on the lookout for new members and meet at the Rivers Meet Cafe in Methley. It’s a great venue (and cake) as I use it for my mini colour taster workshops.

If you’re interested in finding out more about the WI group, I’d be happy to put you in touch.

Group sessions

You can always organise a session for your own group. Always good fun, these take place at a venue of your choosing and are a great way to share the experience with friends or family. Perfect if you’re looking for something more detailed than a talk or presentation where everyone can get involved.

If you’re happy to join a group workshop, my next colour workshop has been booked and takes place on Saturday 23 September. It takes place at Rivers MEET cafe and includes cake, refreshments and a colour card. Tickets aren’t on sale just yet but get in touch to pre-book your place: Toni.carver@tlcstyleandcolour.co.uk.
